Scheinbar völlig unbezwungen vom Erfolgsdruck veröffentlichen New Order ihr mit Abstand rockigstes Album. Lediglich mit "Bizarre Love Triangle" und "State Of The Nation", die auch zu den Höhepunkten dieser Platte zählen, kommt ihr beatlastiger Sound vom Vorgänger-Album zum Vorschein. Auch wenn "Brotherhood" zudem noch sehr charmante Songs wie "Paradise" und "Weirdo" beinhaltet, kann dieses Werk nicht so recht an der Qualität seiner vorherigen Werke anknüpfen.
